About Us

DreamTrust™ ~ Unbound Giving

Since 1988, The House of DreamMaker has earned the reputation as the most creative experiential travel & event curator in the world, built on the idea that memories of people’s best experiences become their favorite stories.

Sustainability has been our result for three decades, long before it became a buzzword. Hiring locals so they can exploit their talents, from excellent cooks to vocalists, from storytellers to amateur photographers – we’ve shown people a way to make a living. We’ve steered clear of the beaten path, focusing on our crafted experiences and kept our money circulating in the community instead of being wired to Luxembourg.

This idea is vital to our philanthropy. Each Experience we design includes authentic interactions with locals, benefitting the lives of our hosts in different parts of the world.

Our financial support through DreamTrust™ focuses on (but is not limited to) our SE Asia and Africa regional projects. Within each program, we partner with local NGOs around specific initiatives and directly involve our guests in each giving experience. We make sure the contributions directly impact those meant to benefit with quantifiable and visually documented results.

100% of the admin costs are covered by The House of DreamMaker.

Supporting Local Economies

Supporting Local Economies

The House of DreamMaker has been practicing sustainability for over 3 decades. Our “Hotel-at-HomeSM” product (staffed estates & villas) has purified our food and beverage supply chains. Hiring locals is our business.
Access to education

Access to education

Some children in the Philippines still have to swim to get to school. Kids in Cambodia can’t make the trek everyday – Whether it’s boats or bikes, we help fund the way to get them into the classroom.
Cleaning Up the Oceans / A little at a Time

Cleaning Up the Oceans / A little at a Time

Some things pull at your heart, and some things, like this, disgust you.  Wherever we travel, we’re committed to helping in this endeavor.
The gift of gardens

The gift of gardens

You don’t need to quote Confucious to remind yourself that a self-sustaining garden will feed a family indefinitely.  We’re proud to provide our host communities’ families with the seeds and the “tech” on growing vegetables —  a small price to pay for a gift that keeps on giving.
Replanting Trees + Seedlings

Replanting Trees + Seedlings

Breathing is good. Hearing about our forests being cut down seems insane. All we can do is try to plant as many seedlings as possible and we’ll simply pick the places whose costs allow us to plant as many as we can.
Rescuing Animals

Rescuing Animals

This problem will never go away but we can help those who have no one to speak for them. Whether we’re feeding the dolphins in Palau or rescuing our friends of fur, one animal at a time is fine with us
Women empowerment

Women empowerment

We are committed to helping women in need in developing self-funding enterprises of their own, such as creating beautiful womens’ bags through ‘upcycling’ recycled materials.
Clean drinking water

Clean drinking water

Nothing is more basic than healthy living.  We help in a small way, partnering with Procter & Gamble to help provide clean drinking water for families in small villages around the world.
Experiential Giving

Experiential Giving

Unbound Amazement; creating smiles, delight, and memories for children that last a lifetime. Giving happiness to the children we encounter around the world is very “on-purpose” for the House of DreamMaker.
